The object looks for the balance between movement and stillness, between informal and formal.
Imerso is an extension to the “Bichos” Lights series, a transformation of living organisms into functional objects.
The wooden legs have been obtained from the pruning of Portuguese Holm (Holly) Oak trees and seek to be part of a waste-minimising life cycle: from discarded branch, to lamp, to firewood, in the end.
They are connected by an invisible thin glass layer, celebrating the natural and sculptural beauty of organic wood formations. The branches grow through the glass as a stabilising/locking system.
